Math and Me

Math and Me is a three-level math series for kindergarten children aligned with the California Common Core State Standards.

Math and Me was designed to help students develop early numeracy and math skills through engaging activities, fun and colorful illustrations, and a focus on hands-on experiences, creating the foundation necessary for young learners to succeed in their future professional academic and careers.

Math and Me introduces characters that were inspired by STEM professions, stimulating young learners’ curiosity and creating familiarity with future career prospects. Richly illustrated lessons were designed to develop the required cognitive and motor skills that will prepare the young learner to master the elementary math curriculum in the future. The age-appropriate illustrations and pictures were carefully selected to offer visual clues and help children relate math concepts to the real world, making math learning a more accessible and enjoyable process. Each lesson ends with home activities that encourage parents to be active participants in their child’s learning process.

The Teacher’s Book is packed with lessons that are stimulating and diverse; the series offers differentiated teaching along with engaging STEAM activities. Math and Me lessons take into consideration the child’s early stage of literacy, cognition, and physical development. Suggestions for hands-on activities are plentiful and aim to make the lesson as student-centered as possible, while supporting the teacher and allowing students the opportunity for independent discovery, fostering a sense of confidence and accomplishment in young minds. Math and Me was inspired by the 5Es instructional model, which organizes the teaching process in a logical progression, allowing students to have an active participation in their own learning process as they experience a new concepts and ideas. Math and Me also offers Content and Language Integrated Learning or CLIL to make language learning more meaningful and content learning more exciting.
