About the Role:
We are looking for an Editor to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. This role is ideal for a native English speaker with strong editorial skills and experience working with educational content.
This position is particularly well suited to current or former teachers who want to transition out of the classroom while continuing to make a meaningful impact in education through curriculum and content development.
You will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and refining educational materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and proofread educational content to a high standard of written English
- Review content for clarity, structure, tone, and age appropriateness
- Ensure consistency in language, terminology, and style across materials
- Identify and correct grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and formatting issues
- Provide clear editorial feedback and recommendations to authors and academic teams
- Collaborate closely with writers, curriculum developers, and project managers on-site
- Review revised content to ensure all feedback has been accurately implemented
- Maintain overall quality and coherence across assigned projects
- Follow all internal management policies and report to line manager
Requirements:
- Native-level English speaker (written and spoken)
- Proven experience in editing or copyediting educational content
- Strong attention to detail and excellent language accuracy
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in English or Education, or equivalent professional certification in editing
- Teaching experience in a classroom setting
- Experience in educational publishing or curriculum development
- Experience editing content for ESL / ELL learners
- Experience working collaboratively with on-site teams
