Pre-Primary

Science and Me aims to develop and reinforce the basic science knowledge and skills students need to succeed in the science curriculum given in Pre-KG, KG1, and KG2.

The Second Edition is fully updated, aligned with both the Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards, focusing on modern 21st century skills and applied sciences. The content gives young learners opportunities to learn through science activities that are exciting, fun, and relevant to the real world (applied sciences). This approach moves beyond simple content knowledge to encourage skills like structured tinkering and simple problem-solving, preparing children for future academic and career success.

Student’s Book:

STEM-Inspired Characters: The Second Edition introduces characters inspired by STEM professions (like scientists and engineers) to stimulate young learners’ curiosity and play-based exploration and create familiarity with future career prospects. This feature helps bring the real world closer in a way that is colorful, engaging, and fun.
Applied Sciences Focus: Lessons are designed to build on young learners’ natural curiosity and problem-solving skills by relating science concepts to the real world (applied sciences).
Literacy Support: Lessons are richly illustrated to help young ELLs recognize and recall new words and sentences easily, further developing pre-reading skills.
