The Get Social is a six-level series that will help students to learn skills enabling them to manage life in a more competent and reflective way. Each #Get Social book is comprised of six units, covering six core lessons. Each unit helps students understand and observe human behavior and the varied interrelationships that exist among different societies. Students will also learn about family, community, history, geography, maps, economics, rights and responsibilities, as well as other cultures around the world. The objectives are clearly stated at the beginning of each unit, while cross-curricular connections are provided with links to interrelated subjects for an enhanced, integrated learning experience. Unit vocabulary is listed so that students can recognize and identify their meanings and how they relate. Each lesson is designed to appeal to students at their grade level with language and content relevance. Students will appreciate and connect with others in each lesson, as well as acquaint themselves with history, traditional skills, food, art, and clothing in the Middle Eastern countries.
